IAI Turin Essay Prize 2021 – Winning Essays Announced

Successful candidates of the 1st edition of the IAI-University of Turin Essay Prize 2021 have been announced. The five winning essays, selected by an Advisory Board composed of experts and academics from institutions involved in the initiative, will be published in the IAI Commentaries series and presented during an online ceremony on 7 December 2021.

The winners of the IAI Essay Competition discussed their visions of Europe and their ideas for its relaunch in a public debate featuring prominent personalities from the worlds of culture, sports, politics, business and institutions.
The discussion unfolded as a dialogue between the young winners and a panel of prominent personalities from different walks of life.

Supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the Representation in Italy of the European Commission.

 

The next generation workshop - 3.ed

The Istituto Affari Internazionali, on behalf of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium, is organizing a “Next Generation Workshop”. The workshop will be held virtually on

The deadline for submission of essays has been extended to 15 October 2021.

 

The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) is pleased to announce the launch of the IAI Turin Essay Prize 2021, a new initiative aimed at fostering debate and stimulating discussion on relevant themes tied to Italian foreign policy, with an emphasis new generations.

Launched by the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) – in the framework of its strategic partnership with the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation – together with the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Turin and in cooperation with the Scuola di Studi Superiori "Ferdinando Rossi" and the Fondazione Luigi Einaudi, the initiative consisted of an essay contest aimed at students aged 32 or younger and enrolled at the University of Turin. The contest asked students to reflect on issues of relevance for Italian foreign policy through the composition of a short essay.

IAI 2021 Prize Finalists shortlisted

The finalists of the fourth edition of the IAI Prize "Young talents for Italy, Europe and the world" have been shortlisted. Their essays on the future of the post-pandemic world - the theme was "The Post-Covid World, Europe and I" - will be published in one of the IAI editorial series. The winners will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas in a public meeting with personalities from the political, cultural and scientific world.
