IAI University of Turin Essay Prize

2021 - current

Launched by the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) – in the framework of its strategic partnership with the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation – together with the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Turin and in cooperation with the Scuola di Studi Superiori "Ferdinando Rossi" and the Fondazione Luigi Einaudi, the initiative consists of an essay contest aimed at students aged 32 or younger and enrolled at the University of Turin. The contest asks students to reflect on issues of relevance for Italian foreign policy through the composition of a short essay. By engaging with new generations, the initiative seeks to promote new thinking on key aspects of Italian foreign policy while stimulating public debate. Five essays will be selected by a committee composed of IAI researchers and academics from the University of Turin. Winning candidates will be invited to a prize ceremony and have their essays published in the IAI Commentaries series.
