Spinelli Reloaded: costruire l’Europa oggi

The event, organised with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione Fondazione Centro Studi sul Federalismo, aims to promote intergenerational dialogue on the current meaning of Europe, starting from the founding ideas of Spinelli federalism to today’s geopolitical, environmental and digital challenges.

On 12 November 2024, the IAI, as a member of the EUNPD Consortium, organised the EU Next Generation Nonproliferation and Disarmament Workshop. The annual event, in its seventh edition, was attended by young academics in the field of nonproliferation, arms control and disarmament, who were selected through a call for applications. During the event, participants presented their ideas on how to address the main challenges in this field. In particular, the following themes were addressed this year:

On 04 December 2023, the IAI, as a member of the EUNPD Consortium, organised the EU Next Generation Nonproliferation and Disarmament Workshop. The annual event, in its sixth edition, was attended by young academics in the field of non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament, selected through a call for papers. During the event, participants presented their ideas on how to address the main challenges in this field. In particular, the following topics were addressed this year:

- China’s expansion of its fissile material stockpiles

IAI 2023 Prize Finalists shortlisted

The finalists of the sixth edition of the IAI Prize "Young talents for Italy, Europe and the world" have been shortlisted. Their essays on the topic "How to escape the energy crisis by reconciling security and the transition?" - will be published in one of the IAI editorial series. The winners will be invited to an awards event with personalities from the institutions.

 

IAI Prize 2023 - Kicking off again

The IAI Prize “Young Talents for Italy, Europe and the World" is a competition aimed at young people under 26, university students and fresh graduates.

This sixth (2023) edition’s topic is: "How to escape the energy crisis by reconciling security and the transition?".

IAI University of Turin Essay Prize 2022 – Winning Essays Announced

Successful candidates of the 2nd edition of the IAI-University of Turin Essay Prize 2022 have been announced. The five winning essays, selected by an Advisory Board composed of experts and academics from institutions involved in the initiative, will be published by IAI and presented during an online ceremony in early December 2022..

Young Talents for Italy, Europe and the World - 2022

On 9 November the finalists of the fifth edition of the IAI Prize will discuss their ideas in a public meeting with personalities from the political, cultural and scientific world. During the event Roberta Metsola and Pina Picierno will receive special mention in their respective positions as President and Vice-President of the European Parliament

The event is supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the Representation in Italy of the European Commission.
