Within the Conference on the Future of Europe, launched in 2020 by the European Parliament and the Commission, the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) will set up three Citizens’ Dialogues to engage citizens in a conversation on the future of Europe. The Citizens’ Dialogues aim at stimulating an open, inclusive and innovative debate between experts and citizens in order to facilitate an active participation, providing food for thought on the Italian priorities vis à vis the EU.

Youth and Africa: Exploring New Approaches to Economic Cooperation, Security and Migration

According to UN projections, Africa’s population is set to double to 2.4 billion by 2050, and it is expected to hit 4.3 billion by the end of the century. By then, about one-third of all of humanity will live on the continent. While many studies have focused on the present and the future of Africa and its interconnections with Europe, it is rare to hear how young people from Africa view and interpret current developments unfolding in their countries.

The Planet, Europe and I - IAI Prize 2020

The deadline to participate in the IAI Prize competition "Young Talents for Italy, Europe and the World” has been extended to 3 May 2020. This year’s topic is: "The Planet, Europe and I: how to combat climate change, guarantee a sustainable development model and safeguard the environment?".

To participate in the competition - aimed not only to university students and graduate but also to high school students - send an essay and/or a video, in English or Italian, to IAI by 3 May.
