From EU institutions to the OECD, from large companies to academia, from journalism to diplomacy, many former IAI researchers today contribute to the Italian, European and international policy-making. Indeed, over the decades, the Institute has served as a training hub for young professionals and a bridge to the relevant job market. But how does one pursue a career at the European Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or in an aerospace and defence company?

The event, organised with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione Fondazione Centro Studi sul Federalismo, aims to promote intergenerational dialogue on the current meaning of Europe, starting from the founding ideas of Spinelli federalism to today’s geopolitical, environmental and digital challenges.

On 12 November 2024, the IAI, as a member of the EUNPD Consortium, organised the EU Next Generation Nonproliferation and Disarmament Workshop. The annual event, in its seventh edition, was attended by young academics in the field of nonproliferation, arms control and disarmament, who were selected through a call for applications. During the event, participants presented their ideas on how to address the main challenges in this field. In particular, the following themes were addressed this year:

- Russian Disinformation Practices at the OPCW

On 9 November the finalists of the fifth edition of the IAI Prize will discuss their ideas in a public meeting with personalities from the political, cultural and scientific world. During the event Roberta Metsola and Pina Picierno will receive special mention in their respective positions as President and Vice-President of the European Parliament
