Biography

Andrea Grillo is a junior researcher in the “Defence, security and space” programme at IAI, focusing on space-related issues. He also serves as Partnerships Coordinator for the Space Law and Policy Project Group at the Space Generation Advisory Council.
Andrea obtained an Advanced Master’s in “Defense and Security in Space” at the French Air and Space Force Academy. Previously, he earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Milan, with a thesis on the militarisation of space, and a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and Organisation Sciences, both summa cum laude. During his academic career, he studied in the UK and France and completed an internship at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in Geneva. He founded DeepInSecurity.com, an independent publication dedicated to defence and space studies.
