Italy-Norway cooperation in (European) transition

The project aims to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between Italy and Norway at a time of transformation in the European context, focusing on two main areas: 1) security and foreign policy, 2) energy and climate. The first strand will examine opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the context of the progressive deepening of EU-Norway relations in the fields of defence and political and institutional coordination. Particular attention will be devoted to the Arctic and the space sector as potential areas for enhanced cooperation. The second strand will examine the evolution of the energy and climate partnership in light of technological, regulatory and market developments, as well as the opportunities linked to the green transition and critical raw materials.
The project will include the preparation of two policy papers and the organisation of two public events, in Rome and Oslo, involving experts, institutional representatives, academics and private sector stakeholders.
