Andrea Grillo
Andrea Grillo is Research Fellow in the “Defence, security and space” programme at IAI, where he conducts research and analysis on the strategic, operational, industrial, and policy dimensions of the space and defence sectors at the national, European and NATO levels. He works and/or manages IAI space projects for EU institutions and agencies, Italian public institutions and private stakeholders. In addition, he serves as Partnership, Membership & Professional Development Coordinator for the Space Law and Policy Project Group (SLP PG) at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).
Andrea obtained an Advanced Master’s in “Defense and Security in Space” at the French Air and Space Force Academy. Previously, he earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Milan, with a thesis on the militarisation of space, and a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and Organisation Sciences, both summa cum laude. During his academic career, he studied in the UK and France and completed an internship at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in Geneva. He founded DeepInSecurity.com, an independent publication dedicated to defence and space studies.
