The event, organised in partnership with Focus2030 and the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, and in cooperation with Think7 and the Civil7, aims to examine G7 and G20 commitments to foster development cooperation, including under Italy’s G7 Presidency, assess their achievements and shortcomings, and discuss the policy priorities they should pursue. The event will focus on how to build more solid interactions and synergies between the G7 and G20 in the field of development cooperation to support the global sustainability agenda .

Biography

Matteo Bursi is a researcher in the IAI “Multilateralism and global governance” programme. Previously, he obtained a PhD in “Labour, Development and Innovation” at the Marco Biagi Foundation, then he was Research Fellow at the Department of Economics of Modena; in this role, he carried out teaching activities in legal-economic subjects. He was visiting PhD at the University College of Dublin and Schuman Trainee at the Economic Governance and EMU Scrutiny Unit of the European Parliament. During his studies he worked as a bank employee. His research has mainly concerned the economic governance framework of the European Union, cryptocurrencies and Central Bank Digital Currencies.
