The third edition of the yearly Bologna Peacebuilding Forum, entitled “Peacebuilding and Climate Change”, took place virtually on 18-19 May 2021, unpacking the complex and still under-examined linkages between climate, the environment and conflict.

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is being discussed as a solution for decarbonisation in the lively public and political debate on energy transition. The adoption of increasingly ambitious climate targets in the EU (-55% greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050) entails that all stakeholders should be on board in the common effort to decarbonise.
