Strengthening the Africa-EU partnership on peace and security: how to engage African sub-regional organisations and civil society

The objective of this project was to assess which policies and initiatives the European Union and the African Union should take to involve African sub-regional organizations and civil society in the framework of their partnership on peace and security. This project is a follow-up of a research programme coordinated by the IAI between 2009 and 2011 and conducted in cooperation with the EU ISS (Paris), Chatham House (London) and a number of African experts.
