By adopting a borderlands prism, the book proposes a profound rethink of the complex relationship between Europe and the states of the Mediterranean Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The course “Medio Oriente e i Paesi del Golfo” aims at analysing the challenges that the countries of the Middle East and the Gulf States face today and in the future. It integrates theoretical and analytical tools of International Relations with the critical sensitivity of area studies. Economic and political scenarios, relations with global actors, factors of development and geopolitical change will be also be explored as well as their relations with international actors.
