The security in the Mediterranean and Italy

- current

The project’s objective was to further explore from different perspectives the importance of Mediterranean’s security, not only for Italy but also for Europe. The so-called “Mare Nostrum” is ever more a crossroad of economic-trade and energy interests, of political instability and regional crises as well as a focal point for immigration and illegal trade. The study points out the necessity of a greater political commitment aimed to promote the security of Mediterranean, with a particular attention on naval assets.
