Vigilant Maritime Surveillance of Critical Submarine Infrastructure - VIGIMARE

2024 - 2027

The project, which started in September 2024 and will last three years, is coordinated by Laurea University of Applied Sciences. VIGIMARE will provide an information-sharing platform for critical infrastructure operators to strengthen their resilience against physical, cyber, and hybrid threats to submarine critical infrastructure in the EU. The project will also support EU member states in meeting the requirements of the EU directives on the resilience of critical entities (CER – Critical Entities Resilience) and cybersecurity (NIS2 – Network and Information Security Directive 2). The “Defence, security and space” and “Energy, climate and resources” programmes contribute to the project mainly by delivering an analysis of trends, threats and systemic risks affecting submarine energy infrastructure.
