Focus on Transatlantic Relations

This is a four-monthly report on the evolution of Europe-United States relations, transatlantic policies and the foreign policy debate within the United States. It is prepared for the Italian Senate – specifically for its Foreign Affairs and Defence Committees – and is also circulated among the members of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committees of the Chamber of Deputies. The Focus consists of a reasoned analysis of the state of transatlantic relations and an analysis of the domestic political debate in the United States; it may also include a brief, in-depth look at issues of European and transatlantic interest. The report is supplemented by charts and tables covering public opinion trends in America and Europe, macroeconomic data and military spending figures, as well as a calendar of key international events.
