Biography

Pietro Rinaldi is a junior researcher in the IAI's “Energy, climate and resources” programme. He specialises on energy transition, access to energy and the geopolitical consequences of these topics.
He previously worked for the International Energy Agency (IEA) in the department of Global Energy Relations, working closely with teams focused on the geographical areas of Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region. During his time at the International Energy Agency, he has collaborated to the publication of the Kenya Energy Policy Review of 2024.
He holds a degree in diplomatic and international sciences from the University of Bologna and a master’s in international energy transition from SciencesPo Paris.
