Biography

Federico Castiglioni is a researcher working in the programme “EU, politics and institutions” at IAI. Prior to this job, he worked at the EU Parliament as MEP policy advisor and then as a political analyst for the consultancy company Zanasi & Partners. In both these tenures, he dealt with the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the development of the European Defence Fund (EDF). In 2020, he earned a PhD in European Studies from the Roma Tre University, presenting a final dissertation on the response of the European Union to the terrorist attacks of 9/11. He has been adjunct professor of “European Governance” at the University of Naples “L’Orientale” and currently teaches at the Link Campus University in Rome.
