The geopolitics of Climate and Energy Transition

The project - realized in collaboration with the Belfer Center - Kennedy School of Government of the University of Harvard, and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Compagnia di San Paolo - analyzes the main geopolitical implications introduced by climate change at a European, transatlantic, and global level, with particular attention to the cases of China and India.

Co-organized with the European Climate Foundation, the event will be an opportunity to discuss the current and future process of decarbonisation of the power sector in Europe and in Italy, including its implications at the policy, industrial and social level. With a special deep-dive on Italy, the newly published Energy Union Choices report “Cleaner, Smarter, Cheaper: Responding to opportunities in Europe’s changing energy system”, will provide stimulating inputs to the discussion.
