The IAI-led New-Med Research Network has published two edited volumes containing a number of studies by young and leading international authors on the Middle East. The first volume, ‘Youth and the Mediterranean: Exploring New Approaches to Dialogue and Cooperation’, collects eight policy papers written by young outstanding scholars from the MENA region.

The IAI-led Power2Youth project, funded by the EU, has held its final conference at the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice on 4 May. Entitled “In the Eye of the Storm: South East Mediterranean Youth Struggling with Coercion, Precariousness and Dislocation”, the event marked the end of the three-year project examining socio-economic and political conditions affecting youth across the Mediterranean.

The IAI-led MEDRESET project, funded by the European Union, has published a number of in depth studies addressing European policies in the Mediterranean between 1970 and 2017. Published as three research papers, the analyses provide insight into the changing relationship, discourse and depiction of Mediterranean developments as seen from Europe.
