IAI-CIGI seminar on "Stabilizing International Finance: Can the System Be Saved?", with James M. Bougthon, CIGI Senior Fellow

As part of the Italian Presidency of the European Union, the Istituto Affari Internazionali, in cooperation with the Department of European Policies of the Office of the Prime Minister organized a conference on “Towards the Mid-Term Review of Europe 2020: Can Europe Get Back on a Growth Track?” held on the premises of the Prime Minister’s Office.

The aim was to highlight the results already obtained and those not achieved becasue of the crisis the EU has been going through since 2008 and to plan a new course for 2020.

The international seminar 'Towards "Helsinki +40". The OSCE, the Global Mediterranean and the Future of Co-Operative Security', organised by IAI and the OSCE Secretariat under the auspices of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, of the Swiss Chairmanship of the OSCE and the Italian Presidency of the EU, was held in Rome on 18 September 2014.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) promotes policies that aim to support economic and social well-being and, among other things, to improve the Human Development Index (HDI) of countries around the globe. The organization coordinates the efforts of its member countries by providing a forum for cooperation and the organization of seminars, research projects and several other educational initiatives on topics that range from growing economic and social inequality to environmental preservation.
