Problemi e prospettive del sistema di governance economica globale

2008 - 2010

A network of institutes studying the scenarios for reform of global economic governance system - of which IAI was a member together with Chatham House, the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the Oxford Institute for Economic Policy - analyzed options for reform of rules and institutions underlying the dynamics of the global economy. Particular attention was paid to the reform processes of multilateral economic and  financial institutions (World Bank, International Monetary Fund, World Trade Organization). The working group met regularly and organized several events for the discussion and dissemination of the research results. On July 6, 2009 IAI organized in Rome in cooperation with Chatham House, CIGI and the University of Toronto the round table "The G8-G20 continuum: global governance in a world of crisis". The event analyzed issues and expectations of G8 and G20 summits within the framework of the debate on the reform of global economic governance.
