EU Multi-annual financial framework for 2021-2027. Resources, tools and possible developments

2017 - 2018
The project, inaugurated with a kick-off meeting held at the IAI on 7 November 2017, led to the publication of six policy papers prepared by experts in the sector. Three of them deal with transversal macro-themes: the role of the Eurozone budget, the Union's own resources, and conditionality. The other three focus on specific expenditure items: the common agricultural policy, cohesion policy and European public goods. The analysis carried out and the recommendations made in the six contributions will be presented and discussed during an event in Rome, which will take place on 17 April at the Italian Representation of the European Commission, and will involve the participation of leading figures in politics and institutions. A closed-door seminar will take place in Turin in May. The conclusions of the events and research will form the basis of a final policy paper drawn up by the IAI and the Center for Studies on Federalism.
