The Armed Forces in the age of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and the Forza NEC Program

The study focused on the transformation process of Armed Forces in the main NATO countries related to Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and therefore on the progressive realization of Network Enabled Capabilities (NEC). Following the research project conducted by IAI in 2011, the new study started with an introductive chapter and then it analysed three case studies: the American, European and Italian cases. The latter included an update analysis of the digitization process of the Italian Army through the Forza NEC Program and its current developments. The results were published in English and in Italian, in the IAI Research Paper and Quaderni IAI series respectively, and presented in Rome on 4 June 2015.
