Alessandro Riccardo Ungaro

Biography

Alessandro Riccardo Ungaro was Research Fellow in the "Security, Defence, Space" Programme at IAI, where he worked on projects and studies related to the aerospace, defence and security industry and market at international, European and national level. After completing an internship at IAI, he authored a dissertation about offsets in the international and Indian defence market within the IAI training of experts programme between 2011 and 2012. Since 2012, he has been collaborating with Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and in 2016 he was selected by the Bundeswehr Centre for Public Affairs in Berlin to participate to the “5th European Seminar”. He holds a BA degree and a MSc degree with first-class honors in Political Science and International Relations from the Catholic University (Milan campus). In 2013 he successfully completed a Master in Economics Security, Geopolitics and Intelligence from Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI). Currently, he is MBA student at MIP Politecnico, Graduate Business School in Milan. His research interests include international relations, EU Common Security and Defence Policy, NATO, as well as economic, industrial and technological aspects related to defence market and procurement.
