Titolo completo
Focus euroatlantico n. 11 (febbraio-maggio 2026)
The second issue of the Euro-Atlantic Focus of 2026 opens, as usual, with an analysis of the state of transatlantic relations (accompanied by a series of graphs). Luca Barana examines how the conflict launched by the United States and Israel against Iran has further weakened relations with Europe, putting pressure on NATO and exacerbating the Trump administration’s hostility toward the EU. In the section on US domestic politics, Riccardo Alcaro examines the various scenarios regarding trade policy following a Supreme Court ruling that blocked Trump’s reciprocal tariffs before highlighting the impact of the war in Iran and the state of the US economy on the Trump Administration’s falling popularity. In the special essay, Ludovica Castelli and Ettore Greco examine the principles and commitments underpinning the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, while also analysing the weaknesses that have progressively eroded its credibility.
