Giulia Gozzini

Biography

Giulia Gozzini was a junior researcher in IAI’s Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa and Italian foreign policy research programmes. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Florence and a Master’s degree in International Studies - Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Politics from the University of Turin. Her research interests were initially directed to Egypt and later shifted to the Levantine area. Giulia spent a research and study period in Lebanon, where she worked on the emergence of new populist trends within the Sunni community. Furthermore, she collaborated as a trainee and researcher with the NGO Medici per i Diritti Umani and the Interdisciplinary Research Unit on Migration of the University of Florence.
