IAI Research, Fighting Food Losses and Waste

IAI has just released a new paper on food losses and waste (FLW), whose costs for our planet are about 2.6 trillion dollars each year. The authors of the research, Daniele Fattibene and Margherita Bianchi, take stock of the current, unequal, distribution of food worldwide and the most common bad practices in terms of production and consumption. After focusing on two virtuous case studies - France and Italy -, they explore the opportunities deriving from the latest EU efforts to effectively tackle FLW.
