Lorenzo Bini Smaghi is currently Senior Advisor at Lazard Europe, Honorary Professor at University College London (UCL) and Non-resident Fellow at the Institute for European Policymaking at Bocconi. He previously served as Chairman of Societe Generale (2015-2026), member of the Executive Committee of the European Central Bank (2005-2011), and Director General of the Directorate of International Financial Relations of Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (1998-2005).
