Euro-mediterranean analyst - 11. ed.

17/04/2023 - 21/04/2023, Hybrid training course

The Mediterranean is, even more so today following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a crossroads of clashes and conflicts but also of opportunities for political and economic cooperation. In this rapidly changing context, public and private institutions, companies, financial operators, civil society actors and non-profit organisations operate and interact. To better manage this complexity, there is a growing need for qualified professionals who know how to analyse, understand and actively contribute to the various decision-making processes, identifying the most strategically correct choices for those who operate, in various capacities, in the Mediterranean.

The course, now in its eleventh edition, has the following objectives:

- provide the necessary tools to understand and explain the political-strategic, economic and social dynamics that characterise the countries in the Mediterranean area;

- to analyse specific case studies and deepen knowledge on the role and action of the European Union in the area;

- strengthen participants' analytical skills, integrating the theoretical and analytical tools of International Relations with the critical sensitivity of area studies. Economic-political scenarios, the role of global actors in the area, development factors and changes in regional balances will be analysed.

The course is aimed at students, recent graduates and civilian and military professionals with a social science background (Political Science, Economics, Law) with a specific interest in the political and economic dynamics of the countries in the area, and will be held in Italian (with the possibility of some modules in English) every day (in the afternoon) from 17 to 21 April 2023.

The Euro-Mediterranean Analyst course is part of the Advanced Certificate in "International Policy Analyst" and the Advanced Certificate for "International Careers".

The course will be held in Italian, with the possibility of some modules in English, in a hybrid mode. It will be possible to participate in the course both in online and in-presence mode. The development of the course in presence will be guaranteed when a minimum number of 8 participants is reached. Should the minimum number of participants not be reached in presence, the course will be held entirely online.

The course has a limited number of participants and the maximum number of participants is 30. The Institute reserves the right to postpone the training activities if the minimum number of participants is not reached for the start of the course. Assistance and tutoring will be provided to participants for laboratory activities and for the preparation of exercise papers.

In order to participate, it is necessary to fill in the on-line registration form, attaching a curriculum vitae.
