Zarif: There's no nuclear deal without Iran

"Theoretically the nuclear deal could survive without America, but not without Iran. Also for that reason the EU shold try to prevent Iran from leaving it. The inclinations about leaving in the country are serious". Mohammad Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was the guest speaker at a meeting with IAI.

Italy and the two Koreas, IAI's new event

On the 26th of October, the International Affairs Institute, in cooperation with South Korean Embassy in Italy, hosted the conference "Italy and the two Koreas, opportunities and challenges", within the framework of the Korean Culture Week. The debate addressed the threat posed by North Korea's missile and nuclear tests, Washington and Seul response options and Italy's opportunities for cooperation with South Korea.

Trump's threat to Iran nuclear deal

US President Donald Trump has disavowed the Iran nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama Administration in 2015. While he has not formally withdrawn from the agreement, the president has effectively put US participation in it on life support. The consequences of a withdrawal, as well as the terms of the the international rules on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons are the focus of IAI's studies, working papers and commentaries.
