Presentation of the paper "The Economic Impact of Conflicts and the Refugee Crisis in the Middle East and North Africa", with Gaëlle Pierre, Economist, IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department

On March 21st, Sahwa and Power2Youth, both projects funded by the European Commission (FP7-SSH) focusing on youth and different aspects of transition in selected MENA countries will hold a meeting at the European Parliament, in Brussels. The event will introduce these two major research collaborative projects, which have conducted large-scale research on youth in the South and East Mediterranean countries over the past three years.

International conference jointly organized by IAI and NATO Public Diplomacy Division, in partnership with NATO Defence College and Elettronica, as well as with Rivista Italiana Difesa as media partner. Instability, crises and conflicts in in the Mediterranean area are interconnected with international Islamic terrorism and the flow of refugees and migrants which Europe has to face. Stabilizing North Africa and Middle East should be a shared goal to which NATO, EU and single member states could contribute.
