When Italy Embraces the BRI
The project analyzes the contents and implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between Italy and the People's Republic of China in the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The project aims to explore four macro-areas concerning infrastructure, the banking sector, technology and defence, and the media. A paper will be produced for each of these areas, which will then be completed by a broader evaluation of MoU and a policy paper containing recommendations. To guarantee the quality and impartiality of the research results, IAI has convened an advisory board of European and American experts. For the part of the research concerning information, IAI is in contact and collaborates with journalists from various Italian news outlets.
