Clean Molecules across the Mediterranean: Prospects for Hydrogen Exports from North Africa to Italy and the EU

The project aims at introducing, studying and explaining the prospects of North African hydrogen exports to the European Union in the public debate, as well as to understand the rationale and conditions for a stronger energy cooperation across the Mediterranean. The main output of the project is a IAI paper that includes a focus on the key role of Italy for North African hydrogen export plans and a number of economic, political and strategic considerations for the wider EU context. This work will be presented and further discussed in an ad hoc webinar and in a short article.
