Il ruolo dell’Italia e dei paesi non-artici nell’Artico: governance e sicurezza

The project (September 2026-June 2027) aims to analyse the role of non-Arctic states in the governance of the region, identifying the key institutional, diplomatic and political channels through which they can contribute to Arctic cooperation mechanisms. Particular attention will be devoted to Italy’s role and the opportunities to strengthen its profile within the European debate and regional multilateral mechanisms. The analysis will focus on three interconnected dimensions – Arctic governance; energy, climate and resources; and defence and security – while assessing their implications for Italy and the European Union.
