The future of military helicopters between technological innovation and war’s lessons learned

The helicopter sector is about to make a generational leap forward in military, technological, and industrial terms, which entails both challenges and opportunities for Europe, also in light of the current conflict in Ukraine. IAI is conducting a study on the possible prospects of the new generation of military helicopters by paying specific attention to the position of major NATO countries – namely the US, France, Germany, Italy, and the UK. The study, published in English, will lead to a publication whose Executive Summary will be translated in Italian. IAI will also organise a conference in Rome in 2023 that will gather high profile political, military, and industrial representatives.
