Sophie Falsini
Biography
Sophie Falsini was junior researcher in the "Security, Defence, Space" programme at IAI, where she collaborated mainly on research projects dealing with security and defence issues at the national and European level. She earned her Master degree in European Studies from the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and this, together with her long research and study periods in Russia, Estonia and Ukraine, allowed her to specialise in Eastern European studies. Due to her professional experience at the European Commission (DG JUST), the Uzbek-German Forum for Human Rights and Human Rights Watch, Sophie has matured valuable expertise in the field of migration, human rights and rule of law in Europe, Central Asia and the Balkans.
