Francesco Pettinari is Junior Researcher in the Defence and Security programmes of the IAI, where he mainly deals with issues related to national, European and transatlantic security and defence aspects. Previously, he did internships in Rome at the Military Centre for Strategic Studies and in Buxelles at Finabel. He graduated with honors in International and Diplomatic Affairs from the School of Political Science of the University of Bologna (Forlì campus) and obtained a Master in Strategic Protection of the Country-System from SIOI in Rome. He is a member of the Observatory on Radicalism and Countering Terrorism - ReaCT.
