Biography

Francesca Maremonti is Researcher for the IAI’s Multilateralism and global governance programme, conducting research on digital governance, international economics and development. Prior to joining IAI, she worked as a Research assistant at the Berlin office of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). She contributed to the European Security and Defence team and to the China Programme with research on China’s influence strategies, digital governance, and the geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean. Previously, she gained experience in editing and advocacy holding positions at NGOs working in the field of international development.
Francesca holds a MSc in International Politics from SOAS University of London and a BA in Language, Culture and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, during which she completed a semester of study at East China Normal University in Shanghai.
