Biography

Nicola Bilotta is the coordinator of the EU-Supervisory Digital Finance Academy and a research associate at the Florence School of Banking and Finance (European University Institute). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the LUMSA University and an Associate Fellow at IAI.  Previously, he worked as a Senior Fellow at IAI - where he led the research on digitalization and global economics -, as a Senior Research Analyst at The Banker Research Team (Financial Times) and as a Visiting Fellow at the CSIS. He coordinated the T20 Task Force “Infrastructure Investment and Financing” under the Italian G20 Presidency in 2021. He co-edited and contributed to the volumes: “The Rise of Tech Giants. A game changer in global finance and politics” (Peter Lang, 2019) and “The Near Future of CBDCs. Risks and Opportunities for the global economy and society” (Peter Lang, 2021). His work has been quoted by the Bank for International Settlement, Bank of Italy, Bank of Spain, the G20, and other leading experts.
