Francesca Bitondo

European defence
Francesca Bitondo was Research Assistant in IAI's Security and Defence Programme at IAI, where she collaborated mainly on research projects dealing with security and defence at the European level. She graduated in International Relations at the University of Bologna (Forlì campus) and earned a Master’s degree in International Security from Sciences Po Paris. When in Paris, she did an internship at the Embassy of Italy in France, at the Crisis Centre of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Directorate of UNESCO. After a Master in Diplomacy at SIOI in Rome, she continued her professional experience in international affairs, working as liaison officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and at the Press and Communications Office of the Embassy of France in Italy.
