Enrico Credendino has served as Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy from November 2021 to November 2025. He entered the Navy Academy in 1980 and received a degree in Naval and Maritime Sciences from the University of Pisa and an MA in Advanced Security Studies from the University of Perugia. During his career, among his many assignments, he has led the Spanish-Italian Amphibious Force (SIAF), EUNAVFOR Atalanta (2012), and EUNAVFORMED Sophia (2015-2020). As a vice admiral, he has been Commander of the Navy’s schools and Commander in Chief of the Naval Fleet.
