Politiche dello spazio: sicurezza, governance e attori globali

General course overview
The expansion of space activities is profoundly reshaping global political, economic, and security balances. From great-power competition over access to orbit, to commercial satellite constellations, and the growing role of space agencies and new private actors, outer space has become a strategic domain that is indispensable for communications, defence, Earth observation, and the management of critical infrastructures.
The course provides an essential yet rigorous overview of the main governance dynamics, international cooperation instruments, security challenges, and geopolitical implications related to outer space. Its objective is to equip participants with the analytical tools needed to interpret actors, norms, interests, and risks in a rapidly evolving context, positioning the space dimension within contemporary debates on technological competition and the governance of global commons.
