General course overview

Understanding how the international system works requires the ability to observe events, actors, and global dynamics through a clear and structured analytical method. In a context marked by crises, technological competition, economic instability, and climate transformations, there is a growing need for professionals capable of interpreting the present with appropriate tools and critically assessing the sources, narratives, and forces shaping international politics.

“Geopolitics in Practice” is designed to offer a guided introduction to the methods of international analysis, supporting students and young professionals in acquiring the foundational skills needed to navigate the field of international relations. The course provides a practical, non-specialist entry point—ideal for those taking their first steps and wishing to progress toward more advanced training.
