Italy-Iraq Round Table on Iraq’s National Security Strategy

The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) convened a roundtable with a group of Iraqi experts and practitioners to advance the discussion on the development of Iraq’s National Security Strategy. During the meeting, IAI researchers provided an in-depth overview of major Western security strategies, namely those of the European Union, NATO, and the United States. By examining these different strategic models, participants gained valuable insights into approaches, priorities, and best practices that could inform the drafting of Iraq’s own National Security Strategy.
