Europe and the Gulf: Roles in De-Escalating the Israel-Iran Conflict

30/06/2025, Evento ibrido | 11:30 CEST

In the past weeks, Israel and Iran have entered in a confrontation that could significantly reshape the Middle East for decades to come. Following the U.S. decision to strike Iran's nuclear facilities a temporary ceasefire is now in place—but its sustainability remains uncertain. In this volatile context, both Europe and GCC countries share interest in cooperating to de-escalate the conflict and support a renewed diplomatic track between the U.S. and Iran. The event will discuss possible synergies in charting a way forward for diplomacy to prevail.
