Open Source Intelligence
Nowadays, the world of intelligence and of collection of information for research and investigation purposes connects different levels of application and an increasingly interesting context for the world of security and for international politics. Among the different intelligence methodologies, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) is certainly the most important and it is based on the collection of valuable information from open sources. Furthermore, its great advantage can be identified in its preventive defense nature (particularly when dealing with cyber-attacks).
The course on Open Source Intelligence aims to provide useful tools to learn about the world of open source and understand its use; learn how to go into detail in the universe of the Internet (e-mail, social media, etc.), looking for information, tools and open source material; get to know the main fields of application of OSINT; deepen the tools of geolocation and chronolocation; develop soft skills, such as scenario analysis, reporting techniques and the investigative approach.
The specialization course wants to collect undergraduates, recent graduates and professionals of any academic and professional background, who want to focus on their research and improve their analysis skills through the use of open-source tools and information. It will take place in March 2022 and it will be delivered in English - with the possibility of having some modules and materials in Italian.
The course is limited to a maximum of 20 attendees. The Institute reserves the right to postpone the course if the minimum number of participants required for its launch is not reached.

The registration fee is € 390,00 (VAT included).
IAI Junior Members, in case of more participants from the same organization, and holders of the Lazio Youth Card will benefit from a 15% discount.
Participants of other training courses during the same calendar year may receive a 10% discount, starting from the second course.
