Coercive Diplomacy and International Law

Edited by IAI scientific advisor Natalino Ronzitti, the new volume analyses the effectiveness and legitimacy of sanctions as an instrument of coercive diplomacy in international law. The volume will be presented on 16 May in Rome during an IAI conference with the participation of academics and policy makers from Europe and Italy. The event will coincide with debates in Brussels on an extension of EU sanctions towards Russia and the recent lifting of international sanctions against Iran.
