Africa's Debt Crisis and G20

The Covid-19 pandemic has deepened the debt crisis of African countries. IAI, as Co-Chair of T20, will hold a webinar on April 9 to discuss the role of G20 in addressing the liquidity and financing needs of African countries. The meeting, which is organized in cooperation with the OECD Development Center, is part of a wider effort to incorporate voices and perspectives from developing countries into the discussions on the agenda of Italy’s G20 Presidency.

The roundtable is composed of the following panelists: Masood Ahmed (Center For Global Development), Stefano Manservisi (Lead Co-Chair of the T20 Task Force 5 “2030 Agenda and Development Cooperation”), Eric Meyer (Office of International Affairs at United States Department of Treasury), Rémy Rioux (TBC, Agence française de développement), Abebe Aemro Selassie (International Monetary Fund), Vera Songwe (UNECA) and Gelsomina Vigliotti (Italian Ministry of Finance).
