Maria Cristina Paciello

Biography

Maria Cristina Paciello was Senior Fellow at the Mediterranean and Middle East Programme of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI). Currently she is Assistant Professor at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Department of Asian and North African Studies. From 2007 to 2011 she was lecturer in economic and political geography of development at the La Sapienza University of Rome. She obtained a MSc in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and her PhD in political economy of developing countries at the Economic Studies Department, University of Florence. She was scientific coordinator of POWER2YOUTH, a research project funded under the 7th programme framework of the EU, and of MEDRESET, a research project funded under HORIZON 2020.
