Following a competitive selection process, IAI has appointed Assem Dandashly (Maastricht University), Gergana Noutcheva (Maastricht University) and Giulio Pugliese (European University Institute) as the new editors of The International Spectator for the next two years, starting on 1 September.

Founded in 1966, The International Spectator (TIS) is Italy’s oldest English-language journal of international affairs. It is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal published by IAI in partnership with Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group).

The latest bibliometric indicators confirm the journal’s strong academic standing: in 2025, TIS achieved a Journal Impact Factor of 2.5, placing it in the first quartile (Q1), and a Scopus CiteScore of 4.5, also ranking in Q1.
